I strongly believe a lack of purpose is a strong influence in most disease. It is said that once a man loses his mission in life, his body begins to deteriorate, and ive always felt that way intuitively and observed it in the outside world.
I've read books on spontaneous healing of cancer, where most cancer survivors blame a newfound purpose and mission towards life as a primary cause of their recovery. Ive read countless books on "spiritual healing" that make these exact claims.
Lets face it, a life without passion, without true heartfelt purpose is lacking in substance and engagement. Without a mission in life, without goals, dreams and aspirations, where's our excitement? Whithout dreams to aspire to, why are we even living? What do we even truly want to live for?
We know that a common cause of depression is feeling like there is nothing left to live for, feeling hopeless or lacking enthusiasm for life. Often times our life may seem to have everything going perfect on the surface, but deep down inside we may not actually be living the life we truly want to live. We may have responsibilities like kids or a job, or grandparents or pets to take care of, but how much of this did we actually choose with complete conviction and intention, hoe much of this did we actually want to dedicate or life towards? Do we really truly 100℅ want to spend our time invested in the things we are focusing on every day?
Many people think they have a purpose in life, but deep down inside they lack the true passion and enthusiasm for this so-called "purpose" and from this we feel a deep void that is not being fulfilled by our day to day life.
Ask yourself every day "what is it i truly want to spend my time and energy on today?" Find your true passions, talents and gifts and then share them with the world.
