In this day and age, it seems society has taken on a theme of helplessness, victumization and irresponsibility. When people get "sick", they put their health in the hands of a complete stranger, and despite what credentials or education that person might have, more and more people are realizing that allopathic medicine, while good for many things, is often times not the best course of action. Allopathic medicine's entire philosophy is to combat natural mechanisms of biology, such as bacteria and enzymes, to achieve a result for the "greater good". The problem with this combative philosophy, is that by shutting off enzymes, blocking neurotransmitters or surgically removing organs from the body, you are setting off a chain reaction of biological effects on the side, which inevitably leads to more imbalance or "dis-ease", and then more and more medication. Its insane to me how anyone couldnt understand how rediculous this is.
However, as an easier more sensible approach, we could effectivey use mainstream medicine to treat a condition which is absolutely serious enough to require immediate attention. But as soon as this condition as taken care of, it could be wise to detatch yourelf from any further medications or procedures if possible, and begin bringing the body into balance using Holistic Medicine principles such as Specific Wholefood Nutrition, Medicinal Herbs, Meditation and Exercise.
Holistic Medicine is the absolute most powerful method of health in the world and has been used effectively for over 10,000 years. It is a practice that brings power to the patient, requires very little money and is being used effectively all around the world to this very day.
Tuth be told, the human body is so much smarter and more effecient then we give it credit for. Our body is designed to work with nature to heal itself of any condition it finds itself in. One of my favorite books on the subject of mind-body medicine, "The Biology Of Beleif" by Dr. Bruce Lipton talks about the extensive science showing that our health is directly influenced by our beleif systems. Our body is a direct reflection of what goes on inside our mind, heart and soul and vice versa. Emotional pain influences physical pain and vise versa. As above, so below. And so below, also above.
