Destroy The Pseudo-Self

Always trying to convince yourself that everything is okay, instead of accepting the fact that nothing is perfect and it doesn’t have to be. Trying to convince yourself that you’re happy & that you’re making progress. All you’re doing is preventing yourself from cultivating true self-growth. It’s unfortunate because this is a natural defense mechanism the “ego” creates to preserve your self-image. Creating what’s known as a “pseudoself” in psyhology. This pseudoself is a false self image you constantly strive to project onto yourself & preserve at all costs.

Instead of constantly trying to convince yourself that you are happy, succsessful, empathic, caring, ritious or what ever “pseudoself” you’re attempting to project... gather the strength required to sit with yourself for an hour every day in silence. Listen to your thoughts. Bring your awareness to the battle between your “natural” thoughts & the attempts your concious makes to try to deny & subdue those “natural” thoughts. The rationalizations you dont even realize you’re making, the extreme denial of how you actually feel about yourself and your life deep down inside, this is your greatest obstacle in the way of finding peace & true happiness.

Most humans spend their entire lives trying to convince themselves that everything is alright. Constantly hanging on by a thread, trying to run away from their true negative feelings. Constantly trying to find peace with the things they don’t like about themselves. Trying to hypnotize themselves with “affirmations” and positive thinking.

The crazy thing is, all you have to do is stop the denial & look your true feelings straight in the eye.

This is the source of most human’s mental anguish. It’s extremely rare to find people who understand what im saying. It’s unfortunate. But i suppose there’s a reason very few go through with the work im talking about & cultivate their true self. Destroying the false sense of self & cultivating realness.

Id love to meet more people who understand what i speak of. Deeply.
